Bank are not leanding more in our experience indeed they are making it very difficult to maintain existing facilities sometimes using less than ethical tactics and this is especially true of RBS . When offers are made the conditions set out are often unachievable.
Service has been shocking as well

Danny,
We totally agree with your sentiment, but the difficulty will always be in determining who are the ‘can’t pays’ and who are the ‘won’t pays’. This is a problem that needs preventative medicine rather than action after the event.

Having been in credit for 30 years I agree there is no place for agressive tactics whether it is in person, by telephone or in writing. I belive in being firm, fair and always polite.

The majority of charging orders are used as a form of security, however it should be the creditor’s decision on whether to proceed with an order for sale. Surely the costs would be the governing factor. With a ban on debts under £25,000 creditors would rely on bankruptcy as an alternative.

There needs to be a distinction between the can’t pay and won’t pay.
